چکیده
This work presents an interdisciplinary assessment examining air quality tracking in urban environments. application is well suited to be approached with wireless sensor networks' paradigm their overall variations. The proposed modeling takes advantage of Vehicle Sensor Networks (VSN) by embedding nodes public transportation, addressing this study case bus lines so that the mobiles spread sampling activity through many different places visited during route. Simultaneously, it alleviates power management restrictions, packaging dimensions (size and weight), general maintenance issues. We perform environmental based on real data considering temporal spatial multivariate behavior observed phenomena. consider city São Paulo our parse asserted create a map samples, showing five pollutants from fossil-fueled vehicles (CO, O3, PM10, NO2 SO2) simultaneously while also varies time. Furthermore, experiment considers detailed description roads, lines, vehicle itineraries, traffic information. input has unformatted or missing information due being sourced sensors handled mentioned above. Our methodology addresses following: 1) simulation, 2) deployment mobile performing sensing process, 3) implementation network delivery collected data, 4) visualization monitored environment gathered using Voronoi Diagrams fill blank at non-reached areas. Finally, VSN-based approach improved 126 times lower error 11 higher coverage compared conventional monitoring stations.

A multivariate state space approach for urban traffic flow modeling and prediction
Urban traffic congestion is one of the most severe problems of everyday life in Metropolitan areas. In an effort to deal with this problem, intelligent transportation systems (ITS) technologies have concentrated in recent years on dealing with urban congestion. One of the most critical aspects of ITS success is the provision of accurate real-time information and short-term predictions of traffi...
متن کاملModeling Mobile Traffic Agents on Network Simulation
This article describes a new and novel approach to model dynamic simulation of mobile traffic agents such as pedestrians and cars on a simple network graph. The modeling approach is based on route choice self-organization of multi agents. In contrast to the traditional method of traffic assignment that assigns probability on each route based on a generalized travel cost, our model considers rou...
متن کاملA new simulation model of fuel consumption and pollutant emissions in urban traffic
The atmospheric pollution is one of the most important impacts of vehicular tratlc; air pollution levels and the over-saturated traffic conditions constitute severe problems in many cities. A large number of models, with different characteristics, has been proposed in order to simulate tratlic flow and related pollutant emissions. In this paper, a fuel consumption and pollutant emission model i...
متن کاملA modeling framework for urban traffic systems microscopic simulation
In this paper a modeling framework for urban traffic systems (UTS) is presented. The model, used for agent based microsimulation, describes both the traffic network and dynamic entities, namely vehicles, traffic lights, and pedestrians. The framework allows defining systematically the necessary components and their behavior of a model oriented to event driven simulation, which can be executed i...
متن کاملA hybrid modeling approach to resolve pollutant concentrations in an urban area
A modeling tool that can resolve contributions from individual sources to the urban environment is critical for air-toxics exposure assessments. Air toxics are often chemically reactive and may have background concentrations originated from distant sources. Grid models are the best-suited tools to handle the regional features of these chemicals. However, these models are not designed to resolve...
